NBN Modem

Level 2
I have received the NBN router ac1600, from TPG. The internet light is not on.
I have had this connected for over a day, and I still don't have a connection.
I don't have an NBN in my apartment, so I'm connected to the phone socket in the wall.
Can someone help me please!
Is there a check that can be done?
I'm a new NBN customer and a new customer to TPG.
