I've been asked to RETURN A MODEM that's being used & that modem IS UNDER CONTRACT with TPG for 6 MONTHS. Its too hard to explain everyting here but I'm getting the RUN AROUND with TPG AGAIN!!! They can't seem to understand that there is TOO MANY ISSUE's that we have to deal with,especially customer service!!

I'm running out of PATIENCE with TPG! I supplied them with all the relevant information regarding the account details to get our landline reconnected, but alas, it's TOO HARD for them to GRASP the details!! I've been waiting since monday to have this issue fixed but no, we keep going ROUND & ROUND & ROUND & ROUND & ROUND AGAIN! What does it take to get DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!!! We've been LOYAL, 6 years now & we're treated like CRAP!!!

Here's an example of been given the RUNAROUND!!! I send a message to TPG via email / this forum!! I mention the issues and the home phone is one of them!!! We're reinstalling the landline after a disasterous experience with the 5g wireless experiment!!! Now remember i said were reinstalling --------- The answer I got back was TPG: Hi, after initial testing our system noticed no homephone usage. Please reply to this SMS with YES if you will use a homephone or NO if not. How stupid is that for an answer!!! TPG INSIST on using overseas call centre's. Those people are hard to hear when they're talking down a TUNNEL. It's noy theiy're fault, it's TPG doing things on the CHEAP. These people can't understand the issues and keep giving the standard reply. I just rang AGAIN for the second time today, I got a call back but I couldn't understand what the person was saying!!! Now I'm waiting on a third call and it's been 20 minutes which was supposed to be a couple of minutes!

One other issue, I asked for a con note to returm the TP Link modem that I told them I didn't need, so where is that also???

Thanks & I did. You replied that my email address is UNMONITERED but some how you sent me an email!!! How does that work if the email addrres is unmonitered?? I've tried to get a call back from so called "Cistomer service" as I've maxed out my available credit on my mobile plan while eaiting on HOLD for hours. Sometimes you get the OPTION of a call back, not every time you ring but spasmodically. I wasted $60 last week on hold!! So I can't setup another account on TPG Community with the email address I've had for the last 7years, so how do I get the issues resolved if customer service doesn;t reply to emails or even phone calls for a call back & the forum won't accept the current TPG login / account details either??? How stupid is that??

This isn't a question about NBN installation, it's about the LACK of service when requested. Here's my experience with TPG. We moved to TPG after being with Optus for 30 years after relocating interstate in 2016. ADSL2 was primative but at least reliable. We connected to the NBN with homephone when it became available. It worked OK for a while but we had continual line dropouts over the next 2 years, TPG sent a replacemnet modem which only made the problem worse. Then they sent us the 5g wireless modem which was a complete disaster. We had DNS & webpage freeze every day. We couldn't even login to out online bank. We decidedi to go back to the NBN & homephome which has been an absolute disater as the service provided by TPG is appaling, to say the least. We were asked to update our card details 4 times which we did & the phone STILL doesn't work, 3 days later!!!

I've made this complaint to TPG numerous time in the PAST! The NBN & phone line is absoutue garbage. When we want to make a call, we dial out & get a consistent HIGH PITCH tone on the the line instead of the ringing tone. If I use my mobile to ring support, all I get is to ring back later as we're TOO BUSY to answer your call. Last time all they did was to send me the same CRAPPY modem which caused the problem & I'll bet thats what will happen again.

We're having BIG issue's with this modem in regards to dialing out on our landline. Prior to the NBN, we had ADSL2 with TPG and we had no problems withe the supplied modem, which I still have. Over the last twelve months, we've had problems when dialing out, the phone dials the number, then all we we get is a constant loud tone tone on the line instead of the ringing tone which we should be getting. It's really frustrating when your paying BIG $$$$$$$$$$ and getting RUBBISH as a so called service. They sent out a replacement modem today, I connected it & the internet is fine. Then around 5 pm I wanted to call a friend, dialed the number and the tone appeared again instead of the ring tone. All they do is reset the modem from their end & say thats will fix it but the next day, it occurs again. All I can say is that I'm really dsiiappointed with the lack of care from TPG with this ongoing issue.

Thanks for the quick response. I have already been able to setup (via LAN) Archer ZR1600v is the primary modem/router and the ASUS DSL AC68U is the secondary router (mode) as a slave. I need to bridge them via WiFi so I can use the ASUS at the other end of the house where the Solax Inverter is. I would like to know how to setup both for the WiFi bridging. Thanks

I'd like to use the Archer VR1600v as the primary modem/router for our FTTN connection as we have a home phone line as well. I need to bridge the connection (wireless) to an ASUS DSL AC68U as a secondary router. The ASUS has WDS. The reason is that the Archer's WiFi is unrelaible and the ASUS is really strong as I have a Solax Hybrid Inverter with wifi that needs to be connected to the internet 24/7. The ASUS was really relaibe with ADSL for this connection but the Archer keeps dropping the Solax inverter off the network. I've tried Powerline adapters (LAN) but they won't pair on our power line. Installing a LAN connection means getting up into the roof space and I'm little to old to be doing that these days. I've followed the steps outlined here with the Archer but the id has already been allocated the the NBN connection. Thanks in advance.
