Hi Shane,   Answering your question as to what I was trying to achieve with my modem; I was adding a more powerful wireless router (TP-Link AX50) as a LAN client of my modem. I have around 35 devices connected to my wireless network including many smart devices and electrical fittings (bulbs, plugs, etc), and since it would be a pain to change the settings all individually to a new network, I decided to rename my new WiFi network with the same name and credentials as the old WiFi. For this reason I switched off wifi on my TPG supplied VR1600V modem using the admin portal.    Now I've setup the new network with the same name and password as the old network, and all the devices switched over seamlessly. However when I go back to the VR1600V modem and try to rename the Wifi and switch it back on, it doen not seem to let me do that (the renaming of the wifi worked, but switching the wifi back on does not work). I've attached a screenshot of the error message here.   It is important for me to connect one laptop, which I use as a work server to connect to the modem directly, as i need a virtual server setup on this machine, which was working fine earlier but does not work while connecting via a client router.   The second part of the problem was the firmware upgrade.
