Get online support
I have been a TPG customer for several years on the same unlimited ADSL2+ + home phone plan. The download speeds I get are usually fine, but the upload speeds appear to be shaped to 25.6kbps
In the past this hasn't been a big deal as I don't do much uploading from home, but as I'm working from home more often now this shaping is becoming really annoying. I often have to tether from my phone if I need to go on a video call or deploy something.
Here are the results of my speed test:

and another independant result

What's the reason for this?
Hi @barryskal,
Welcome to the Community!
Thanks for raising this with us.
I've located your account using your Community details and has conducted series of test.
The test results currently, does not show any damage or issue with the physical line that would affect the speed (upload) of your connection.
Nonetheless, to help improve your connection, I've made adjustment on the line.
Please monitor your connection and let us know how it goes.

Hi Erika,
Thanks for looking in to this. Can you please tell me, what speeds should I expect to be seeing?
Hi @barryskal, for all ADSL2+ services, the Upload sync is up to 1 Mbps only.
Thanks @Erika I'm getting about 0.8Mbps so I guess that's the best I can hope for in my location
Should you wish to have a higher Upload Speed, you may look into the option of switching to NBN. However as I've checked on your address, NBN is planned to be available from July to September 2019.
If you would like to be contacted once the NBN is ready at your address, you may register your details here: http://tpg.com.au/nbn#register-your-interest. 🙂
