DSL light does not connect after power off

Our internet has been set up and working for a year now but recently any time the modem is turn off it will take hours or days to get the internet back. It is only turned off for cleaning, not an error.

Right now the DSL light will blink for about 30 seconds then stop for a few minutes until starting again. Currently it has been off for 2 days. Do we need TPG to manually fix something if we ever turn the modem off?
