Hi,
I have a friend who received a replacement TPG ADSL Modem and they wanted to know what the default wireless network name and password are.
For NBN these are written on a sticker on the router but for ADSL the sticker is missing this information. Any ideas?
Hi,
Maybe it can help you out.
Try to look at the bottom of the modem that says " SSID " or " Network Name ".
Usually, it started like " TPG - ( combination of numbers and letters ).
Normally, Wifi password should be your friend's TPG Password. If it didn't work, Please do not
hesistate to call TPG at 131423 option 2 + 2.
Thanks.

Hi Zafrayn,
Any idea how we can find our TPG account password if we dont know it?
I have a similar question.
I received a Huawei HG532 ADSL2+ modem. On the back of the modem there is a stick showing the Wi-Fi (SSID) name but not the Wi-Fi password.
Do I need to use my TPG account password?
What if I don't remember my TPG account password?

Hi @pokeplayer,
The sticker on the Huawei HG532 ADSL2+ modem only shows the Wi-Fi (SSID) name, and not the Wi-Fi (SSID) password.
Do I need to use my TPG account password?
Yes. This is because your Wi-Fi (SSID) password is initially configured to be the same as your TPG password.
This means that:
What if I don't remember my TPG account password?
Refer to Moderator Riezl's previous post above.
Thankd @JongR for answering my question.
The modem I want to use is a replacement modem. I've had TPG ADSL2+ for about two years now and recently got offered a new HG632 modem by TPG helpdesk.
So which is the wifi password for the new modem - my TPG account password now as of today? Or my account password back when I signed up?
Hi @pokeplayer,
The Wi-Fi password for your replacement modem (HG632) will be the TPG account password you have today.
