Poor nbn connection

I'm having lots of trouble with slow upload and download speed on my nbn home internet plan. Speed tests done on my phones come up as acceptable however the speed test when done on my laptop is showing less than 10mbps for download and keeps coming up with a 'can't contact the server' error when testing the upload speed. This is causing significant issues for me in these WFH conditions. Please help!
