I'm having issues with my current D-Link -DSL2730B Router and WIFI strength throughout my apartment. Standing next to the router I get a strong signal but as I move into the lounge it slows down. I did a speed test both wireless and via ethernet and router works as per 11.0mbps downloads and 0.9mbps on uploads. Speed tests in bedrooms are o.k but do fluctuate between 6.0mbps and 10.0mbps. Lounge is around 2.5 - 5.0mbps and drops lower at times. i have purchased a WIFI Booster but not getting anywhere with connection on this as requiring me to connect to http://192.168.10.1 can you please advise on how I can connect booster.
What brand of Wi-Fi extender you purchased? We recommend to contact the manufacturer of the Wi-Fi extender for the support to avoid any misinformatio on how to set it up.
