Wifi issues

I've recently moved over to TPG from Optus.
I had a cable fibre Optus router but have upgraded to a TPG Archer VR1600v2 NBN router.
Every day I seem to have to turn the router on and off for my computer and mobile phone to connect to the internet.
I didn't need to do this with Optus but I need to with TPG.
1) Is there anything I can do with the router settings to stop this happening.
2) Is there a firmware upgrade ? My firmware is 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 190228 Rel.72265n

Any help would be great.

The modem/router has the latest firmware version. In the event that Wireless device(s) is affected with the issue we did an article that you may find helpful, this will guide you on how to improve the wireless connection at home.
