slow download speeds

Apparently 80Mbps is the available speed for my area.  


I'm on the $59.99 pm plan.  I've just run a TPG app internet speed check on my phone = 12.93 Mbps. 

However, my daughter is having HUGE internet problems while studying from home and has been checking on her laptop (she's Yr 11 & I'm working from home) and has got the following:

  • highest download has been 11 Mbps (that was the best speed last year not this year)
  • usually/curently <3Mbps upload speeds
  • worst = 0.08 Mbps upload speed

Aparently our plan should be fine for 2 users.  We're on NBN and in St Kilda East, Melbourne.
