I notice a few other posts on this topic. My land line is completely dead. I bought a new handset but the same problem, I can't make or receive calls.

I have reset your NBN port to see if that will help.
Could you also confirm for me that your phone is cabled the same way as in the diagram attached. If you are using existing internal cabling for your phone could you take your handset to the NBN box and test for dial tone as the attached diagram indicates.
Thank you. I can confirm that the cabling is the same as the diagram. I still don't have a dial tone
