Oztalk not working

we had NBN connected July 4th also included our landline Oztalk package.

we recd a txt saying all was complete but we still can't use the landline.

i can call it... it doesn't actually ring though ie can't receive or make calls.

any advice please?

Hi @theprices2095 

 

It shows your phone service is registered in our systems.

 

Can you confirm you have a phone plugged into the ''PHONE PORT 1'' on the back of the modem? If you are still using the phone plugged into a traditional phone socket, it will not work. The old TELSTRA style of phone service is now redundant and you should only have the 1x NBN-NCD plugged into a phone socket and EVERY other devices unplugged.

 

Phone services will only work via the modem phone port now.

Issue solved. Our installer said everything was done and set when he left. He made no mention of having to do anything else with the phones.
