Did you manage to set up the configuration of the new modem, if so could you post the screenshot of the modem settings on this thread for reference. Also shoot us a PM with your details to better understand the situation.

My modem needs updating and I bought a tp-link ac2100 modem router but once I set it up it said there was no internet even though a technician had fixed it. I unplugged it and plugged in my other modem and internet came on. Can't understand why the new modem router didn't?
