International sim

I have purchased an international Aus post sim to use while I am in the UK. The card has not been working and the provider has suggested that this may be because TPG has locked the device. I have a basic no lock in contract but perhaps the phone is locked to TPG. Could you please have it unlocked if this is the case. Thus I will be able to use the phone in Europe.
