Modem update

My modem is Huawei HG 659 purchased with tpg NBN12 FTTN in 2017. I have just upped to NBN25, but would like to know if updating my modem would also be a good idea for improved connections. I have read others mention firmware, but I have no idea where to check that, if needed. Thanks

Wow! Thanks for being one of our loyal customers. We do not suggest a replacement of the modem/router unless it is faulty or you experience an issue that caused by the equipment itself. We'd love to help check the firmware version of the current Huawei HG659 and request an upgrade if available.
