Hi 6334142

Welcome to the community,

Are you planning on using the TPG phone service or you want to use a 3rd party voip provider?

Keeping in mind LAN ports cannot be used at voip ports unless you connected a separate ATA device to the LAN port. You will be able to use the phone port 1 for your TPG phone service. You will not be able to use the phone ports 1/2 or LAN ports with 3rd party voip providers.

Hi Karl,

I am planning on using the TPG my TPG phone service for incoming and outgoing calls. The phone I am considering using is a Panasonic SIP handset and I would like toknow the credentials that I need to use to

do this. As it is a SIP phone it doesn't require an ATA.

Hi @6334142

You will need to plug a standard DECT handset into the "Phone 1" port on the back of your modem, if you want to use the TPG VoIP service.

The Panasonic SIP handset sounds like an ATA, and if it is an ATA you won’t be able to use with your TPG VoIP service. Have you got a model number?

If you want VoIP for a business, maybe have a look at our Business VoIP plans.

Hi Karl the phone is a Panasonic HDV230, capable of 6 SIP accounts and is broadsoft compatable.

Will I need Business Sip service to operate this ?

Hi @6334142

You won’t be able to use the Panasonic HDV230 with a TPG VoIP service. To use the Panasonic HDV230 you will need to sign up with a 3rd party SIP provider.

Did you have chance to look at the TPG Business VoIP plans?

Hi @6334142

You will not be able to use the Panasonic HDV230 with any TPG VoIP plans. This includes the TPG Business VoIP plans.

Hi @6334142

Depending on what plan you select. If you select the "Pay As You Go Plan" you will get 1 x VoIP Service with a Service Number. If you sign up for the "Package" plan you will get 3 x VoIP Services each with a Service Number.

If you want more information on the Business Voip products you can give the Business VoIP Specialist a call on 1300 365 313.
