TP Link Archer vr1600v overheating and plastic turning brown

Hi,

I have the TP Link vr1600 and the unit seems to be getting progressively browner and darker. This unit is in a well ventilated area, out of the sun on top of a cupboard with nothing around it. I've seen others on the forum complaining about similar issues.

The top of the unit around the vent and the vent itself is very bad and the back of the unit is also turning brown. Is there any risk of fire?

Hi @djmulls888,

Let us check the warranty status of the modem/router. Could you shoot us a PM with your details to better understand the situation.

How to send a PM?

Regards,
