VOIP not working after getting new modem

After a severe electrical storm zapped the supplied HUAWEI HG659, I bought a new modem.

The modem is TP-LINK model  TD-VG5612.  Everything works fine, but I can't get VOIP to work.

I've tried various registrar addresses such as aphone1.tpg.com.au,  and tpgvoip.tpg.com.au, but with no success.

 

Is this modem not compatible for VOIP?   If so, can you supply me with a suitable modem.  I've been a loyal TPG customer for many years.

Please be advised that the VoIP is only provisioned on the TPG supplied modem and this is the reason why it's not working on the modem you have purchased.

 

Should you wish to get a new modem from TPG, we can send a request, but we'd like to set your expectation that this is subject for approval.

 

We have located an account using your community details, but we'd like to make sure that we got the right one.
