Fttc blue light doesnt stop blinking

I receivee a text from tpg requiring me to connect the modem. After following the fttc document and completely finished wiring the modem all I get is a flashing blue light for the link icon. After a minute the re is a clicking sound and the light goes out for a couple of seconds before returning to a flashing state. The lan and dsl lights are blank. Please help. When i try and reconnect my old router I can't even get my old connection back so I'm completely without wifi.
