According to the NBN rollout map my area has had the NBN service available for at least the last two months. I pre-ordered and NBN plan at the begninning of the year and have heard nothing aside from occasional emails stating "NBN is not yet ready in your area"
Is there an estimated period to expect between when an area gets the service available and when TPG customers get access to it? At the moment our connection is very poor so switching sooner rather than later would be preferred.
Thanks.
Hi Malkav,
Please enter your address in the Check Availability box to verify if TPG already offers NBN in your area.
Do you know of anybody in your neighborhood who has an active NBN service?
Is there an estimated period to expect between when an area gets the service available and when TPG customers get access to it?
Hi @Malkav, to answer this question, TPG offer its NBN service as soon as it is available (or becomes "Ready For Service") at an address.
Where is the NBN rollout map you mentioned where it says NBN is available at your address?
Looks like there has been something going on with the rollout map. Last week the NBNCO rollout map indicated my area (Earlwood, NSW) had service available (something that has been stated on finder.com.au for the last couple of months). Today I have checked again and my area has gone back to Service Planned.
So it may have just been an incorrecly uploaded map on their end.
Hi @Malkav,
The official NBN Co rollout map http://www.nbnco.com.au/learn-about-the-nbn/rollout-map.html# should (theoretically) be the most reliable source, so unfortunately you're probably right in your conclusion that NBN isn't yet available at your address. Hopefully it moves from planned to available for you soon. If you enter your address in the checker at https://www.tpg.com.au/nbn, the TPG website will give you the exact date NBN will be available if it's within 3 months.
