Moving House - unable to disconnect old house

Hi, i recently moved house and am waiting for NBN to be connected at my new property. Due to delays, this has still not been completed and there is still no ETA. 


I have tennants moving into my old property but after calling TPG to get the service disconnected at my old house, they are unable to do so until the installation at my new house is completed which could be a while away. 


Due to this, the tennants will not have any internet as they can not proceed with a new service until the old service is disconnected. Could you please advise how we can get this resolved?
