I have set up my router as the guide shown and made my NBN service active. After waiting for an afternoon, the Uni-D1 light and Internet light are still red.
Uni-D 1 light cannot go red. If the opical light is red it's a fault or outage. If the uni-d light is not lit and the light from the optical can be seen then refer to my comment above
Uni D lights turn green or amber based on the Ethernet connection you connect. Green 10/100 and Amber is GigE 100/1000. I found a handy link that explains the light colours to you that can be found here https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/NBN_FTTP_Connection_Box_Status_Lights
