No phone port

I have no phone port in the house it was removed I called and told this to the lady on the phone and she kept saying their was one and it was connected. I kept stating that their was no port.
She said their was nothing she could do to help me. So I hung up and crying not sure where to go or what to do ? Hopefully someone can help me !
