no internet light

I have just moved home and the house has an existing NBN connection (HFC). The 4 lights on th NBN modem are on. I received my TPG wifi modem today and I have hooked everything up but the internet light is not on. I can connect to the WiFi but there is no internet. 


I was told that my connection was ready to go and that I would have internet as soon as the modem arrived. 


I have check the installation status online and it says that my "insllation is progressing". Why do I not have internet? Do I still have to wait for TPG to take further steps in the background?
