How to enable mobile data on a phone

Hello,

I am new to using mobile data on a mobile phone to access the internet. Can someone please advise if there is anything I need to do on the phone to enable this? Do I need to create an account with login details, and if so what are the details I need to specify?

I note that there was a post entitled, "Mobile Data not working" and reference to APN etc. I absolutely have no idea what this is all about and if there is a page that describes how to do the setup I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Never mind! I just had a call with a nice support person who helped me with this problem and one of the things we did was to power-cycle the phone and enable mobile data on the phone. No other setup was required on the phone.

I have already try all this but still data won't activate.
