Roaming overseas
I travel to Europe for 3 months each year. These days many, many theatres, 2 hour tours, museums, monuments and train tickets, can only be booked and paid for, online. To do so, one requires not just a credit/debit card, but also international roaming to receive the SMS 2FA code sent by your bank to verify the transaction.
The current cheapest alternative is a $5 day add-on by another carrier that already charges nearly double TPG (monthly Australia use only).
Currently, TPGs one international-roaming option is sky high, through-the-roof, send you bankrupt, if you don’t pay attention, expensive.
But there is an opportunity here for TPG to set up a cheap ADD-on, for example for SMS only, using an eSIM or a SIM that can be inserted when 2FA is a necessity. Something like that.
