JUST SIGNED UP AND CANNOT MAKE CALLS OR MSG

I just switched to TPG and for 24hrs I haven't been able to make calls - even when on wifi, and I can only send/receive TXT when on WIFI. 
PLEASE HELP! As I can't call you for help!! I need my phone to work.
