Not able to access emails on iphone

Since last thursday i have been unable to access emails my TPG emails on my iphone.

I had reset my account password online. I then updated details in settings on my iphone.

The message I get is: The mail server "mail.tpg.com.au" is not responding.Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings.

any suggestions would be appreciated.
