Should you turn NBN off if storm?

Hi,
We just had our black NBN connection box replaced after it died during a storm (we didn't lose power at all). If we are home when a storm hits is it best to turn it off?

You can leave the NBN on even if with storm but we recommend connect it with Electric Surge Protector for the safety of the device.
