LOW internet speed with NBN50

Hi Support,

 

I am already on the NBN 50 plan. I tested the internet upload and download speed a few times tonight, the internet download speed is less than 8Mbps and upload speed is around 4.2mbps. This is way below the NBN50 plan specification. I ran this at 12:15am and not during the peak hour of 12:00pm to 15:00pm Sydney time. How can we work from home with such low network bandwidth and this is way below the specification as promoted.

Can you please look into it asap? 

My TPG username is the same as my login name here.

Hi @ikflc,

 

The actual speeds for the service may be slower and vary due to many factors including type/source of content being downloaded, hardware and software configuration, the number of users and performance of interconnecting infrastructure not operated by TPG.

 

Devices connected by Wi-Fi may experience slower speeds than those connected by Ethernet cable.

 

We'd recommend having a read of this community article, which may help you check if the speed you're getting at the moment is within acceptable range.
