Line attenuation higher than average

prasannakln
Level 2

Hi,

Upon connecting to ADSL2+, I've noticed that my Line Attenuation is 38dB, with  my SNR around 6dB. While the SNR is OK, the Line Attenuation is slightly higher than the average based on the TPG DSLAM website. While other users are getting between 26 - 31 dB, I'm getting a higher value. Any help available?

Am using a TP-Link Archer vr1600v

Hi @prasannakln,

Welcome to TPG Community!

We were able to locate your account and checked the line attenuation that you are getting.

We've run some test and it is within range. The line attenuation based on the TPG DSLAM website for the sync speed of 7.3Mbps is 37.5dB in which the 38dB is still within the acceptable range.

If you are experiencing any issues within your internet service, please let us know.

Kind regards,
