$1 plan

I am on the $1 per month plan, mainly because I spend a lot of time out of Australia and just want to maintain the service. I understand the $1 plan is not available to new customers any more.

When I do return I would like to change my plan to include more data for the time I am in Australia. My question is:

If I change my plan, will I have the option to go back to the $1 plan when I leave Australia again?

I returned to Australia for a visit, upgraded my plan so I could use it while I was here, and now as I leave Australia again, I cannot go back to the $1 monthly plan. Can you please advise how I can get back onto this plan.
