I downloaded another FTP Clent...Classic FTP...and got successfull upload.

It's free, easy to set up, works on XP, and does the job nicely.

Thanks to all

@billv . Send a Private Message to the moderator with your account number and TPG username. Include the address field (URL) in the browser window.

This is the PM reply  I got from the moderator..I see no reason to keep it private.

"The free webspace is no longer available for our customers.

You may use a different FTP client to support your website."

So after 20 years your basicly saying...Piss off and build a new website, on some other platform or host.

...I spoke 3 times to TPG on the phone over the last week...and they said nothing about "no more free webspace"...

Thanks

@billv . That reply doesn't seem right. The free webspace was only available to users migrating from ADSL, not for new NBN signups.

There is no ftp client. The transfer is done in the browser. There might be a fault in the web server, maybe special processing for html files.

Still, TPG are pretty secretive in what they do. If they are planning to convert the webspace to just cloud storage, they could have put a warning on the web page advising that html files will not be uploaded.

I have the same problem now, and a user last month but no solution provided.

P.S. That user took his web files to another provider.

@Anonymous . How is it that the web hosting is done by a company in the Netherlands? If TPG don't want to do it themselves, maybe they should terminate the facility (there must be a cost somewhere). Notify all your users by email with enough lead time for those affected to make other arrangements.
