Change phone servers

Hi I’m looking to change my current phone plan from Vodafone to one of your plans. I was nearly going to buy the plan untill it said that my phone connection with my other server may be disconnected.
I’m just wondering how long the SIM card will take to arrive and when my phone will be disconnected from my other plan because I can’t have a disconnected phone?

Your current mobile phone service should still work while waiting for your TPG mobile SIM card to be activated. The shipping of the new SIM card may take 2 to 3 working days to metro areas/major towns and 3 to 5 working days to rural/remote areas.

Porting or transferring your mobile phone number to us may take 1 to 2 working days upon activation.
