My previous Telstra pre-paid sim was damaged and the number/account was then cancelled. I bought a TPG pre-paid sim but can't activate it or even finish setting up a TPG user account as it just wants me to enter the code it insists on sending via sms to my old number. There is no information on how to verify via email - I have WiFi and TPG have been corresponding with me via email thus far. There are only phone numbers - but I can't make calls. (Tried to call using someone elses phone but was waiting for over half an hour and there was no answer before i had ro return the phone)
I don't have a working sim - that's why I bought a sim!
