Hi

I am unable to send any emails from my samsung android phone it comes with the error "not connected to server" I can still recieve emails no problem however unable to send they sit in ouitbox with a sending failed message.

I have checked the server settings and they seem correct

Incoming

Port 110

Outgoing

Port 25

when I go in to server settings it just comes up saying checking outgoing server settings then an error "Unable to conmnect to email server to verify your account information. No response from server."

The email app is syncing fine and is recieving emails.

I trtied to send emails from postmaster account and this worked fine.

Thanks

Ben

@bgriff79 . Both same.  mail.tpg.com.au

If you get the sending fixed, you could look at increasing security. Instead of NONE, see if there is an option of STARTTLS.  Use it for send and receive. It encrypts your emails between your client and the mail server.

Hi David

Thank you , i can confirm the following

POP3 server

mail.tpg.com.au

Port

110

and

SMTP server

mail.tpg.com.au

Port 25

It is still not allowing me to send emails

Thanks

@bgriff79 . Has this been happening for a while or just started now?

You can use your computer to check that your ip address is able to connect to the mail server on port 25. Open a command window and enter the command:

telnet  mail.tpg.com.au  25

You should get:

220 mail.tpg.com.au ESMTP mail service ready

This means you have connected to the mail server for sending mail.

If you don't, there is some blockage on the SMPT side.
