nbn to wireless broadband

hello,
i would like to get some clarification before making the switch from NBN to wireless broadband.
1. What will happen to my unused balance on NBN? I dont think i am under any contracts but please check that for me and let me know any extra costs.
2. I would like to stay with broadband for as long as possible, but ,say, for unexpected reasons i cancel the broadband in 24months. If i return the modern there will be no other major costs? (i saw there might be an NBN reconnection fee).
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi @a52136

Thanks for your interest in our home wireless broadband. When you change from NBN to home wireless, you will have a 7-day trial period and after this, the NBN gets cancelled. Any unused portion from your old NBN plan will be credited and can be used to pay your future invoice or it can also be refunded. If you will decide to return to NBN after the trial period, you need to sign up for NBN account under a new username.

Our 5G Home Broadband is only available on a no lock-in contract, so there's no Contract Break Fee if you choose to cancel. To avoid any modem non-return fee, simply return the modem to us within 21 days of your order being withdrawn or cancellation of your service. The non-return fee is calculated as $17 multiplied by months remaining in the first 36 months e.g. if you leave after 24 months you would pay $17 x 12 (the number of remaining months), a total of $204. Whilst if you choose 4G Home Wireless, the non-return fee is calculated as $8 multiplied by months remaining in the first 24 months e.g. if you leave after 18 months you would pay $8 x 6 (the number of remaining months), a total of $48.

If you wish to proceed with the plan change, send us a private message with your contact details and we'll set a callback with our plan change specialist. Cheers!
