@Anonymous- Hoping you could provide some assistance or reset my account from your end.

Using Mozilla Thunderbird. SMTP AUTH error came up this morning.Same error as many users

"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.8 [TPG-A02] Authentication denied. User xxxxxxxxx@tpg.com.au is banned from using SMTP AUTH due to previous abuse. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

The steps I have done to fix are

I have changed my password this morning in 'My Account' . Waited 8 hours
No Luck - Cant send emails.

Turned off bullguard and malwarebytes then tried sending email. No luck - same error message.

Checked SMTP server settings - remain as default mail.tpg.com.au

Sent mail using TPG Post Office - this works fine.

.

If you could reset at your end that would be appreciated.

Many Thanks,
