I am subscribed to the NBN Cable 50 plan. Until recently, my internet connection would max out in the high 40Mbps. I never got 50Mbps, but I am on HFC in an older neighbourhood, so I understand the line quality is not great.
However, recently, the line speed dropped significantly. I configured my USG Pro to run a scan every morning at 5 a.m. when the network should not be busy. Over the last week, my connection has maxed out at an exact 20Mbps every morning at 5 a.m.
After going through the forums, I found that this is a regular thing TPG does: randomly drops customers' internet speeds, then claims an engineer made an error.
Now I need to change ISPs to get what I pay for.
