I have been using Outlook 2 for years latest is 2019 now getting error message “ Sending reported an Error the server responded 421 Cannot connect to SMPT Server 27.32.32.11”, no change was done at my end to the server/account setup. Then I got on to TPG Help via Phone and reset some setting password etc. No problem receiving just sending and Webmail is fine.

Hi @cdunn . Is this an ongoing problem?

On your computer, open a command window and do the following commands:

ping 27.32.32.11

telnet 27.32.32.11 25

Should give this:

220 mail.tpg.com.au ESMTP mail service ready

Type quit to exit.

Mail server is currently up.

Error 0x800CCC67 is caused by the SMTP (Protocol) usually in Windows Live Mail and in Outlook. ... Generally, the most common reason for this error to occur is when your e-mail provider changes (ssl or port) settings; or if your Windows (Anti-Virus) / (Firewall) denies access to the SMTP.

PIngs OK can recive but not send, cheers.

@cdunn . Ping ok means network path is ok. What about telnet command? Might be something in Windows or anti-virus stopping connection.
