Extremely slow NBN connection

For the last 2-3 days I have been having issues with by NBN connection experiencing drop outs in the morning and evening. Done a few restarts of the modem/router as well as the NBN connection box. Swapped the network cable that is patching the router as well. This morning I lost connection altogether to my NBN connection box. After mentioning it on this forum, a moderator contacted me and turned out that someone in NBN had changed the port from UNI-D port 2 to 3 and they had no log of any changes. Got some stable pings from that. I ended up also changing my wifi password to eliminate if there were any rogue devices causing any problems. 4 hours later, now I am getting a download speed of less than 2 Mbps. Any moderators out there willing to help out since the phone support is not available and chat is also not available. Thanks

Hi, 

I do not have another working modem. For the last 3-4 hours, it has been stable. Would this still be related to a modem?
