FTTN NBN constant drop outs

Our internet has been functioning normally and fairly well, for about 5-10 minutes, then completely shuts down - all the lights turn off except the power light. The modem then restarts by itself, and the lights begin to gradually turn back on, however the cycle repeats again. Tech support became unresponsive halfway through the chat, and it's becoming more frustrating as my children are unable to access their lessons and online chats for school.
