Frequent disconnections on NBN FTTC

I have experienced frequent dropouts on my internet connection since I switched from ads to nbn early in the year. Reconnection requires power cycling the modem and router and often also resetting the modem to default settings. After exhausting various troubleshooting options, I recently replaced to link router with net gear nighthawk. The problem persists and has become worse in the past day. I am paying for the top tier internet speed and rely on it for many things. Can you please advise what I can do? ASAP
