How to setup TP Link 1600vr into bridge

Hello,

How would you go about setting up the bridge directly from the modem so that it is completely in bridge mode? I know you can add on a bridge setting in the DSL menu but this still keeps the modem router's wifi active. When I try to turn off the modem's wifi, my new router's internet also stops working.

I can also login to my TPG account on my router but it would seem that without having the modem completely in bridge mode, logging in also stops the internet coming through.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @bigmoist

Welcome to TPG Community!

Please refer to the previous discussion on how to bridge the VR1600 modem.

Once in bridge mode, the configuration should be done in your own router.

  1. Set it to PPPoE
  2. Make sure correct TPG username and password is entered

If your device still won't work, please contact your router manufacturer for further assistance.
