Hi. Our internet connection (HFC) has been degrading over the last couple of weeks to be nearly unusable at times now. We're paying for the Ultrafast (800/40) plan and the connection starts out at over 900/30 but slows down over the course of a few hours to 300/0.02 until it eventually resets. I've had this problem on and off since setting up this connection but it's been getting worse lately.
I've done the normal troubleshooting steps of resetting the modem, leaving it off for 10 minutes, changing cables etc. All the stuff I've done every time we've had issues.
I'm not sure if our HFC connection has been affected by all the rain we've had recently. I've tried contacting customer support but can't get through. I've tried reporting through the app but it tells me we have a "valid connection" but the speed test "can't find internet connection".
I've attached an image of the Telstra pit out the front of our house today after the rain. It stays like this for a couple of days. Our internet has continued to be flaky since my previous post.
