Internet dropping out.

Hi, 

  My internet keeps dropping out 3 - 4 times a day. I have noticed the rounter just reset itself, all the LEDs just turning off for few seconds then on again. It affects to my son online study a lot. 

  Is it the time to replace the rounter, BTW our rounter has sign of overheating since the front outer case turning from white to brownish colour.

 What should I do ?
