New to NBN can't access wireless 5g

Hi there,

We've just had NBN (HTC) installed. I've changed the SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I have SSID broadcast turned on but only the 2.4GHz WLAN is visable on my laptop (windoze 10). How do i connect to the 5GHz WLAN? 

The 5GHz shows up on my mobile.

We are using the supplied HUAWEI HG659 modem.

Check your laptop if the WLAN chip is capable of connecting to 5Ghz connection. It's possible that the wireless of your laptop doesn't have the capability to connect to it, as your Mobile can detect your 5Ghz connection means your modem is broadcasting it.

Check the specification of your laptop or contact the manufacturer to make sure.
