No DSL light

Hi I have just signed up, AC1600 modem delivered and set up, phone line connection plugged into wall and DSL port on modem and the power cord plugged in to both wall and modem, TPG have messaged personal number saying detection has not been seen on their end. Not sure what to do instruction guides have said this was the only steps needed for this plan.
