No NBN Connection

Since the thunderstorm the other day the optical light from my nbn modem has been flashing RED and we haven't had any internet connection. I have also tried calling technical support atleast twice everyday but found no help as I was always on the waiting and they end up hanging the phone on me. Also I have tried the typical resetting and all that cleaning history that I have read here but still no connection. Please help me. It is hard to do zoom classes with no proper internet connection. Thank you.
