No internet connection on 5G

Still no internet when connected to 5G. Told it loses quality the further it is away from modem. TV OK as it is 6 inches away. The computer is the problem at 10 feet away. That's right 10 feet not metres. Had it last week for 3 days and then unable to get internet connection but I still have to pay. TPG have been less than helpful.
